Building on the successful 2015 pilot , The second Hull International Printmaking Biennale is happening across three galleries in Hull and region. The exhibition is an open entry submission with the very best work selected & curated by Rob Moore with help from colleagues in the other participating galleries. The show also includes twelve prints from ‘invited workshop’ Edinburgh Printmakers including work from eminent artists Alan Davie and John Bellany.
The selectors award four prizes for excellence in creative printmaking sponsored by Hawthorne Printmakers, Inprint & The Roland Box Award. Creative printmaking in all its forms is celebrated in the show.
A free talk by Judith Liddell from Edinburgh Printmakers will be held at The Ropewalk Gallery during the show and places can be booked by contacting the venue directly.
Special mention goes to Hull City Arts Unit for their support
Each venue will be offering a print workshop and here at Kingston Art Gallery will be a ‘drop-in’ opportunity for anyone wanting to help make……
The LONGEST LINO PRINT in Hull
50 foot long Lino print starting on Saturday 14th October
100 x 6″ x6″ Lino blocks will be available for people to cut images into. This can be done on the day at the gallery or in advance. Tools for drop in Lino cutters will be available. Each contributor will get a proof print of their Lino and their image will be printed onto the long roll of paper, the finished long print will be displayed at KAG during the last weeks of INPRINT and another venue yet to be determined
