‘Going down the Boulevard’ – HULL FC 150th anniversary exhibition
Opening on Friday 27th Feb, 6 – 8pm at KAG Gallery, 26 – 27 Humber Street, Hull.
Then open Fri – Sun 12-5pm from Sun 1st March – Sun 29th March.
To open its 2015 programme KAG Gallery is delighted to present a collaborative project with Hull FC as part of their FC 150 Project that celebrates the clubs 150th year.
‘Going down the Boulevard’ explores the memories, emotions and objects that link fans with the area surrounding the Historic home of Hull FC. The exhibition is a celebration of those people, places and moments that have left an indelible mark on the city and contributed so much to the cities culture.
Contributions to the exhibition include a photographic collaboration with Ocular Art, new artworks from Hull FC Fans and work by members of Kingston Art Group. The exhibition also contains vintage footage from the Boulevard era and Hull FC’s legendary clash against Australia in 1982.
The opening night will include readings from Hull FC poet in residence Phil Lamb and appearances by past Hull FC legends.
